I hope you are all well! I am Laurel Teacher, the new homeroom teacher for Gangdong
ECC Stanford class. I am from the United States and this will be my 2nd year teaching in
Korea, and my first year at Gangdong ECC. I graduated from University of Oregon in 2022
with a BA in the Mandarin language and accompanying Second Language Acquisition
Teaching certification. I’ve been working with children in my church and tutoring in music
and various instruments since I was 12. I also taught English to adults in the metropolitan
area of Portland Oregon for 3 years.
I’m looking forward to having a fruitful year with the students at Gangdong ECC.
