Hi! My name is Ettienne Ellis, and I am a new teacher at ECC Seongbuk. I am from South Africa. I studied theology and completed my MDiv at the University of Stellenbosch. After graduating, I spent one year in Germany doing further research at the University of Leipzig. I am passionate about language teaching and about helping children grow in their confidence and ability to communicate. In my teaching, I focus on genuine interaction and developing strong communication skills while supporting students’ academic and personal growth. At my previous school, I was also a homeroom teacher for students who were beginning English for the first time. It was very rewarding to see them grow from having little understanding of English to being able to communicate comfortably within a year. I am very happy to be joining ECC Seongbuk, and I look forward to working together with the students and families this year.
