Hello, I’m Katherine and I’m from the United States. I have been living in Korea for almost six years, and I am in my third year teaching at ECC. Before that, I was an EPIK teacher in Busan. I have always been very passionate about working with children. Before I got my teacher certification, I worked at an after school musical theatre program for elementary school students. I also spent two years living in Paris as an au pair teaching English to the children in my host family.

I have been interested in different languages and cultures from a young age, and I think international communication is an essential skill. I am always excited to share my experience and knowledge with the students at ECC Mokdong. It is wonderful to spend time with them and watch their language and communication skills develop throughout the school year. My wish is for my students to become thoughtful and confident English speakers with a wide vocabulary!
