C. Who are the Highly Gifted?(영재들의 특성)

Often found as a result of extremely high scores on an individually scored IQ tests.

∙;;;Generally above the 140 IQ range

∙;;;Others may be prodigies in areas such as math, science, language and / or the arts.

∙;;;Profoundly gifted children can score in excess of 170 IQ.

IQ Test에서 높은 점수를 받은 아이들로 간주된다.

∙;;;일반적으로 IQ 140이상인 사람

∙;;;특정분야, 수학, 과학, 언어 혹은 예술분야에서 천부적 재능을 타고난 사람을 일컫기도 한다.

∙;;;특별히 뛰어난 수재는 IQ 170을 초과하기도 한다.

Highly gifted children demonstrate characteristics such as the extreme need to:

1. Learn at a much faster pace.

2. Process material to a much greater depth.

3. Show incredible intensity in energy, imagination, intellectual prowess, sensitivity, and emotion which are not typical in the general population.

타고난 천재들은 다음과 같은 특징을 가지고 있다.

1. 빠른 속도로 지식을 습득한다.

2. 사물을 깊이 있게 이해한다.

3. 평범한 사람들한테서 찾아볼 수 없는 에너지, 상상력, 지적 능력, 감각 정서에서 엄청난 열정을 보인다.
