I am so excited to be your teacher this year! I'm Lauren Alex, but you can call me Allie. This is
my first year at YBM Pangyo but my second year teaching in Korea. I love teaching little minds
and seeing how they grow and progress each and every day. It's a truly rewarding job, and I have
already made many good memories.
I graduated with a degree in Anthropology and Linguistics from Furman University. I fell in love
with teaching English and TESL during university when I worked as an editor for ESL students
at the writing center on my campus. I was able to make friends from all around the world and
gain valuable experience that put me where I am today.
I have my own experience learning languages. I studied Japanese throughout university and
spent a semester at Nanzan University in Japan. I also spent a summer at L’Universite de Paris
Sorbonne learning French. I am proficient in both languages, and learning a second and third
language has helped me appreciate the strug
